AIBC EUROCLUSTERS Open Call for Participation to International Events

This Open Call supports Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and start-ups working on Artificial Intelligence (AI) & Blockchain (BC) technologies that are interested in participating in International Events related to AI & BC technologies. The call provides the opportunity to take part in international events linked to AI or Blockchain Technologies, to meet in person potential partners and local technology and market experts, and to develop potential collaborations and cooperation opportunities with different stakeholders in the AI and BC fields from countries at the European and international level.   

Opening date: Tuesday 6th June 2023, 12:00 Brussels time. 

Deadlines: 

  • 1st cut-off: Tuesday, 5th September 2023, 17:00 Brussels time. (CLOSED)
  • 2nd cut-off: Tuesday, 16th January 2024, 17:00 Brussels time. 

WHO CAN APPLY? 

Applications must be presented by SMEs or start-ups registered in an EU Member State or a country participating in the Single Market Programme (SMP). The beneficiary must have solutions and skills related to Artificial Intelligence and/or Blockchain. 

WHICH ACTIVITIES CAN BE ADDRESSED? 

In-person participation in international events linked to the fields of AI, BC, and their applications, as well as Green, Sustainability and Resilience, which should correspond to: 

  • Thematic Summits
  • International Conventions
  • Global Forums
  • Conferences 
  • Congresses
  • Exhibitions
  • Fairs

The financial support can be used to cover travelling, accommodation and subsistence costs as well as entry fees, booth, etc. at a specific event selected by the company. More specific information is available in the call Guidelines above.  

WHAT’S THE AVAILABLE BUDGET?  

Within this call, AIBC has destined 20.000,00 EUR for supporting in-person participation of SMEs in thematic events (related to AI & BC technologies, in EU countries or outside). This call foresees 10.000,00 EUR for each of the 2 cut-offs.  

Beneficiaries will receive up to 2.000,00 EUR for the participation in the event. At least one person from the selected SME must participate. No limit of attendees is set, but up to 2 persons from the same SME will be eligible for travel & accommodation funding. The person(s) participating in the event must be present at least one complete day in the event. 

No co-financing is required from the selected companies. However, they must commit to ensure the necessary resources needed to carry out the activities and must have stable and sufficient sources of funding to maintain their activity throughout its development. This will be stated in the Declaration of Honour and the agreement that beneficiaries will sign before the start of the implementation. Beneficiaries can participate to the different AIBC EUROCLUSTERS Open Calls (project proposals, training, participation to international events, digitalisation services and product development) but a single beneficiary cannot receive more than 60.000,00 EUR overall. Only one application per call is allowed. 

HOW LONG SHOULD THE ACTIVITY LAST? 

The events must be happening between November 2023 and October 2024 and must not be held in the same region (NUTS 2, 2021) where the applicant is located.

AGREEMENT

The template of the agreement to be signed with the AIBC Partner bwcon, will be available soon.

This agreement will be defined and customed with the specific information of the selected beneficiary.

To be noted that AIBC EUROCLUSTERS only provides this platform as a support for networking activities, but all applications will be considered equally (independently on whether they from entities registered in the platform or not).
