AIBC EUROCLUSTERS Open Call for Project Proposals

This Open Call supports European companies (SMEs) in the development of projects for piloting and/or demonstrating new or improved digital and environmentally friendly products and services that use Artificial Intelligence (AI) and/or Blockchain (BC) to support/increase twin transition in at least one of the AIBC sectors: manufacturing, mobility, logistics and energy.

UPDATES: There has been added a condition related to a “Declaration of financial capacity” for being eligible to receive the interim Payment of the 20% of the total approved lump-sum after the second month of the project. Please check section of the Guidelines. To provide more time to the participating companies, the deadline has been postponed of 1 week.

WHO CAN APPLY? 

Projects must be submitted by consortia of at least 2 SMEs officially founded before 31.12.2021 and registered in an EU Member State or a country participating in the SMP. At least one SME must be a technology provider of AI and Blockchain solutions and the other(s) must work in one of the 4 industrial ecosystems targeted by the project: manufacturing, mobility, energy and/or logistics. 

WHAT ARE THE CHALLENGES/TOPICS TO BE ADDRESSED WITHIN THE PROJECT PROPOSAL? 

A consortium must focus on: 

  • The development of AI / BC prototype solutions for end-users to arrive at the MVP (Minimum Viable Product) stage at least.  
  • The testing through a pilot/demonstrator of new / improved environmentally friendly products, solutions and services, using AI and/or Blockchain in the relevant environment/industry. 

related to manufacturing, mobility, energy and/or logistics. These activities must include Artificial Intelligence / Blockchain technologies, support Green transition and address at least one challenge among the ones included in the call Guidelines above.  

WHAT’S THE AVAILABLE BUDGET? 

Within this call, AIBC has destined 520.000,00 EUR to carry out prototypes, pilots and demonstrators project activities.  

Each project will be eligible to receive financial support up to 65.000,00 EUR.  

No co-financing is required from the selected companies. However, they must commit to ensure the necessary resources needed to carry out the project and must have stable and sufficient sources of funding to maintain their activity throughout the development of the project. This will be also stated in the Declaration of Honour and the agreement that beneficiaries will sign before the start of the project implementation. All these supporting documents are available in the guidelines.  

Beneficiaries can participate to the different AIBC EUROCLUSTERS Open Calls (project proposals, training, participation to international events, digitalisation services and product development) but a single beneficiary cannot receive more than 60.000,00 EUR overall. Only one application per call is allowed. 

HOW LONG SHOULD THE PROJECT LAST? 

Each project must be developed within 9 months from signature of contract (agreement). 

Projects activities must start after the signature of the agreement and be completed by 15th September 2024.

This agreement will be defined and customed with the specific information of the selected beneficiaries (Consortium).

To be noted that AIBC EUROCLUSTERS only provides this platform as a support for networking activities, but all applications will be considered equally (independently on whether they from entities registered in the platform or not).
