New CIVITAS SUMPs-Up manuals give advice on SUMP measure selection

Despite more Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan (SUMP) support and knowledge appearing for local authorities in recent years, SUMP take-up has remained relatively slow. There is a requirement for a more systematic understanding of and support for SUMP development and implementation.

Three new manuals from CIVITAS SUMPs-Up help fulfil this need. They provide guidance in a topic crucial to SUMP development – measure selection for and the integration of measure packages into a SUMP.

Cities invited to join next round of CIVITAS SUMPs-Up learning programmes

SUMPs-Up is inviting applications to join the next round of its SUMP Learning Programme (SLP).

A SUMP is a strategic plan that aims to create an urban transport system for all citizens that improves safety and security, reduces air and noise pollution, greenhouse gases and energy consumption, and boosts the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of the transport of people and goods.

The application deadline is 18:00 CET on 23 April.

Thailand: Digital Economy & Software Industry

As part of the internationalization activities of the ICT Cluster, the Torino Wireless Foundation, in collaboration with Gogate, organizes a meeting with the Thai Board of Investment (BOI), the government agency responsible for promoting business investments between Thailand and foreign countries. A day to start a mutual understanding and to explore the possible industrial, commercial and technological collaborations.

MobiGoIn-Action: 3, 2, 1, GO!

During the next 2 years, MobiGoIn-Action will implement and test MobiGoIn Internationalisation Strategy (developed within the MobiGoIn project), which supports European SMEs and Start-ups in their path towards two specific world-regions: 1. North America, intended as USA and Canada and 2. China-Singapore, addressing the Automotive and Smart City target markets, respectively.

SENTINEL Subcontracting Opportunity

February 1st, 2018 – The Cluster Network – including Torino Wireless – for Hospitality Sustainable Development and Internationalization, SENTINEL, project (Cosme Go International of the European Union) aims to develop a long-term collaboration framework to enable SMEs to acquire capacities to start their internationalization process and entering in better condition the selected emerging markets, being the common target the hospitality sector.

SENTINEL project takes off

Barcelona, January 10th, 2018. The SENTINEL project (Cluster Network for Hospitality Sustainable Development and Internationalization) got under way on 1st January  which shares know-how with companies in the hospitality contract channel. SENTINEL has been co-financed by the European Union’s COSME Go International program. 

The project is run by a consortium of four European clusters – including Torino Wireless – that group companies supplying products and solutions for the entire hospitality value chain, from planning, building and interior furnishings right through to maintenance and management.

We have happy news for MobiGoIn Network: the Mobility Goes International – in Action project have received funding from COSME Programme of the European Union. It will implement and test MobiGoIn Internationalisation Strategy.
