Want a SUMP in your city but don’t have the expertise or tools?

Three new EU-funded mobility projects have launched a survey to help them understand cities’ needs and barriers when trying to develop Sustainable Urban Mobility Plans (SUMPs). A SUMP is a strategic plan that aims to create an urban transport system for all citizens that improves safety and security, reduces air and noise pollution, greenhouse gases and energy consumption, and boosts the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of the transport of people and goods.

Brussels appoints Turin second most innovative city in Europe

The European Commission has awarded Amsterdam with the title of European Capital of Innovation 2016 (“iCapital”). Turin was ranked second, before Berlin, Paris, Eindhoven, Glasgow, Oxford, Milan and Vienna. In addition to the prestigious award, Turin also won a cash prize of 100,000 euro to increase ist efforts in supporting innovation.

Smart Mobility: MobiGoIn project will define an EU strategy on SMEs internalization

January 12, 2016. Putting together technology clusters that direct their offer to the mobility sector companies and creating new opportunities for European SMEs that want to grow through innovation and internationalization: these are the aims of the project MobiGoIn – Mobility Goes International, which dwill develop a cross-sectoral approach focusing in the theme of urban and extra-urban mobility to promote development and adoption of intelligent and collaborative transport solutions and logistics. Today in Turin, the project consortium, formed by four European clusters: Torino Wireless Foundation (Italy), bwcon (Germany), Mov’eo (France) and Media Evolution (Sweden), set the project in motion.

ItaliaRestartsUp: the 2015 edition

Ice, the Italian Government’s Agency promoting trade and investment, in collaboration with the Ministry of Economic Development and Smau, is launching the second edition of ItaliaRestartsUp, the national event expressly designed to be a meeting point between the protagonists of the Italian start-up ecosystem, i.e. companies, investors and support agencies, and foreign investors specialized in innovative start-up companies.
