Power Up Net Zero Open Call
FOR BUSINESS INNOVATION AND TECHNOLOGY ADOPTION SERVICES
PowerUp NetZero OPEN CALL FOR BUSINESS INNOVATION AND TECHNOLOGY ADOPTION SERVICES provides financial support for the planning phase of the Net-Zero Technology (Solar energy, Battery and energy storage, H2 technologies, Sustainable biogas and biomethane, Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS)) adoption, such as:
- Technical and economic feasibility studies
- Technology adoption roadmaps
- Integration planning and basic engineering
- Digital services for Net-Zero adoption
- Circularity, sustainability, ESG or compliance support
- Go-to-market and scaling support
The applying SME or start-up must present a quotation of its selected service provider to carry out the proposed service(s) and will not be able to change it during the project execution.

WHO CAN APPLY?
Applications must be presented by SMEs or start-ups with at least one closed and validated financial year and registered in an EU Member State or a country participating in the Single Market Programme (SMP).
WHAT ARE THE ACTIVITIES TO BE ADDRESSED WITHIN THE PROPOSAL?
Funding will be provided to SMEs and start-ups for activities related to pre-investment services, such as:
- Adoption and improvement of net-zero technologies and solutions
- Business process innovation linked to the green and digital transition
- Integration of digital solutions supporting net-zero deployment and efficiency
- Market uptake of net-zero applications
- Innovation development services.
Funded activities should support business process innovation linked to the uptake of new-to-firm technologies within existing operations, contributing to the green and digital transition, greater sustainability, resource efficiency and resilience, including through relevant digital solutions.
All activities must have linkages with at least one of the project’s 5 Net-Zero Technologies (Solar energy, Battery and energy storage, H2 technologies, Sustainable biogas/ biomethane, and Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS)).
WHAT’S THE AVAILABLE BUDGET?
PowerUp NetZero has destined 380.000,00 EUR for supporting business innovation and technology adoption services.
Each beneficiary of this call can receive from the project up to 20.000,00 EUR in the form of a lump-sum (thus, it is expected that at least 19 SMEs will receive financial support).
Beneficiaries must ensure a minimum co-funding rate of 20% of the total eligible budget of the supported activity, to be covered through private financial sources. Applicants should plan budgets in line with the co-funding rate applicable to the requested grant amount.
HOW LONG SHOULD THE ACTIVITY LAST?
All services/activities financed by this call must have a duration of maximum 7 months starting from the signature of the contract.

Only one application per SME will be accepted under this specific call. If an entity submits more than one proposal, as a general rule, only the first proposal submitted will be considered eligible for evaluation.
Beneficiaries can participate to the different Open Calls of the project (Business Innovation Services and Technology Adoption Activities or Innovation Projects), but a single beneficiary cannot receive more than 60.000,00 EUR overall.
