Global Leadership: Preparing people and organizations for doing business globally
In a global economy, the decision to extend a business activity beyond national borders is less a matter of choice than a necessary decision for business growth and survival.
Where domestic and regional markets often offer a climate of comfortable competition with known adversaries, in a global setting the game is quite different. Globalization presents a strong challenge where the logic, competitiveness and sustainability of a business model are the constant focus and concern for management.
It has also created enormous opportunities for the firms that know how to work well globally. In this session we will talk about global leadership as the actions firm take to develop their people and organizations to work more effectively in a global economy.
Beginning with a discuss of globalization drivers, we will look at the issues firms face in “going global” and how they need to develop a global mindset perspective and capability to understand and work effectively in a global business environment.
